Bill Tidwell, a Texas entrepreneur, acquired Cardell Cabinetry in May 1977. He had a simple but clear vision for Cardell, "To create exceptional cabinetry through innovation, persistence, and a vision for the future".

The vision was realized with hard work, dedicated employees, and by building strong and lasting relationships with distributors. Over the next decade Cardell expanded from Texas into the national market and continued to enhance their product offering and the modifications available to personalize and create something truly unique.

Now with different door styles and color options available, Cardell offers thousands of combinations to choose from. That is a huge difference from the early days of four styles and four colors; but the power of choice to the consumer remains one of the company’s primary focuses.

With more than 900,000 square feet of space in their San Antonio and El Campo, Texas manufacturing facilities, Cardell has been ranked one of the largest manufacturing businesses in San Antonio.
